I would highly suggest not to waste your money on buying food here
I placed a order for fried chicken on Friday Dec 27 2024. The owner said it would be 10minute wait.
The ten minute wait turned into 1hr and 10 minutes.
During that time and consistently asking his wife who was collecting the money for orders placed...I didn't not recieve my order.
i did ask her for an update. She was extremely rude, rolling her eyes at me. Wouldnt even get up out of her chair to follow up with my order. She continued telling me I had to wait even tho people after me where ordering the same meal (fried chicken) and we're leaving with their order way before after me.
Other orders of fried chicken were still being placed after mine and the customers where leaving well before me. As I just stood there waiting
I asked the wife again. Hey can you follow up with my order it's been over an hour.
She then turned to me and actually had the audacity to ask me if I even paid?!!!!!
I told her that I'm not waiting any longer. They said a 10 min wait on food and have been giving out the same meal to costumers after me.
I asked for my money back.
She rolled her eyes and ignored me.
The owner, her husband did come out with my food after all that time.. almost an 1 and 10min later.
He Apologized. And told her I was the first one to order why am I still waiting. And questioned her about where my order was
And she didn't even try to apologize !!
Buy the time I took my food to go..
Got home after a 30min drive home..sat down and was ready to eat.
I was given uncooked chicken !!!

Highly disgusted with his wife customer service skills and all that waiting time and ignorance to receive raw chicken.
I will def be following up with the health and saftey board. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else..
The owner is a really nice guy..it's really unfortunate that he would have someone who is in charge of taken orders that would:
Refuse to give back a unsatisfied customer her money
Question a customer if she even paid
Make a customer wait over a hour...
Argue with the customer about the wait time on a lost orde, refused to get up out her chair to follow up like a productive staff.
but instead still serves new customers instead of trying to fix an order that was placed over an hour and still recieved raw chicken.

be trying ox tail next time. definitely be ordering from hypers at least once a week. Live music and a great atmosphere! Thank you to the staff for a great time!

On a Friday night I will sometimes travel from London to this place to dance and hear music. There WAS a chatty chatty dj who played at this place. Found he talked too much on the mic. Well, I went this past Friday, and let me tell you…..the music was on point!!!!! The dj’s has changed and they were awesome and the music was GREAT and even better with minimal chat! Silver bullet, mixbreed, and who ever else as a dj were on point. So , if you want o hear good music, catch a nice vibe, and just chill without fuss, try that place. I will absolutely be back on a Friday night.

Before I start this review, I must say I feel bad for giving it one star but it is by far well-deserved. This is just going strictly for the food. I don’t know about the actual bar or the cleanliness. I’ve never been inside so I have nothing to touch base upon that. With that being said now This was the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had in my entire life. My husband is Jamaican. I am also of Caribbean descent… We got two orders of the stew chicken… It was absolutely disgusting. Save yourself a trouble go to Taste of Jamaica Also here in Brantford. The Chicken itself was so dry, and the flavour was very STRANGE the rice was extremely dry and I’ve never had to stew chicken be dry in any sort of way especially not the rice no gravy nothing was put on it. I was highly disturbed and disappointed. Avoid this place at all cost for the food. This is also my first negative review on Google. I’m want to always read the Google reviews before ordering from somewhere. My husband even said “don’t trust all reviews” now I see why. The fact that some people said the best food in Brantford should have been a red flag because of that is insulting and I’m One who frequently orders food from Uber eats from multiple different places never have I been this disappointed with an order.

I went there for my birthday and the customer service was great. The owner of the restaurant bought me two shots of tequila and yhe DJ played me 4 birthday songs. I love it there. Oh the biggest thing is the bathroom. The bathroom clean and pretty. I could have do a blog in the bathroom very clean very pretty very mindful very demure
