Yeah Man should really be called "Yea Not." My experience was underwhelming, to say the least. While the chicken was fresh, the portions were disappointingly small. The gravy added some flavor to the rice and bland—chicken, but the rice itself was undercooked and hard, which made it less enjoyable.
The cabbage was fresh, and I appreciated that, but the overall value for $16.50 left much to be desired. I ordered a small stewed chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and a bit of oxtail gravy on the rice. I also expected plantains to be included, only to be told they would cost an extra dollar. After I complained, they did give me two plantains at no extra charge, and I must admit they were great—ripe, soft, and sweet.

For $16.50, I expected a more satisfying meal. There are definitely other Jamaican restaurants in the area offering better food and better value. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d give this place a 3.5. That said, if you’re curious, give it a try and let me know your thoughts—maybe you’ll have a different experience.

I came here close to closing but only requested side item. 2 large rice and peas, Mac and cheese and collard greens. The greens taste like they were soaked in nothing but vinegar, the mac and cheese was dry and he attempted to put uncooked bread crumbs to dress them up, the rice and peas taste like they were box made. For paying almost $49 for 4 sides that came half full in styrofoam cups was crazy. That was my first and last time coming there. I hate to write anything like this but his food was disgusting

Ray was really nice and professional. She was knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered a beef patty on coco bread with oxtail gravy. This slapped so hard. She didn’t even give me a problem with my difficult Oder.

So first let me say the customer service was amazing which is rare these days! Denise was really nice (part of reason I gave a 3 star) But honestly we’re here for the food so let me get to that. The oxtails were very tender, a little fatty for my liking but tender nonetheless. Now the flavor was nonexistent. When I go for Jamaican oxtails I go for flavor and I got none with this order. The consistency of the broth/gravy was all liquid (brown water if you ask me ‍♀️) no thickness or flavor at all so I was a bit disappointed. Now I’m not going to give up on them just yet because it may have been an off day. I noticed they had mixed reviews so my guess is the recipe they use isn’t being followed so there’s no consistency which means I may go back and get a good batch. This was my first time visiting so I’ll give it another go in about a month. The picture attached is a regular size portion and it was $30 which I expect in this economy…oxtails are high!!!! Yeah Man I’ll see you all in a month so don’t disappoint

I randomly stopped by Yeah Man today for the first time and it definitely will NOT be my last. I ordered the 2 plates of brown stew chicken with rice&peas and cabbage. The chicken was seasoned to perfection and falling off the bone! The cabbage was seasoned well also! The customer service was great! The restaurant was clean! And the wait was not long at all! I was even offered a sample of the jerk chicken! It was delicious (spicy but not too spicy to where you can’t enjoy it). I also tried the Sunday’s Best juice and it was amazing! If you love ginger, that’s the drink to choose! Overall, if you’re craving Jamaica cuisine, this is your place to go! I was going to insert a picture, but the ENTIRE plate was inhaled. 10/10

I tried Yeah Man Jamaican Restaurant, and it was an okay experience. The atmosphere felt a bit dull, and the service was ok. The curry chicken lacked the bold flavors I expected, and the sides were just average. Overall, not a standout dining experience, but it wasn't terrible either. I definitely won’t be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone.
