Yardies, a Caribbean restaurant, has received a variety of reviews from its customers, showcasing both delightful experiences and some disappointments. With an overall rating of 4.3, many diners appreciate the flavors and portions, while others have found room for improvement.
- Flavorful Dishes: Several reviews highlight the succulent curry chicken and jerk pork, describing them as some of the best in Toronto, with one customer stating it was the best Jamaican cuisine they've ever had.
- Generous Portions: Many patrons are impressed by the portion sizes for the price, with several mentioning that the meat is tender and flavorful, often falling off the bone.

- Takeout Focus: The restaurant is primarily set up for takeout, with limited seating, which appears to align with customer preferences, as many opt for takeout over dining in.
- Mixed Quality: A few customers faced issues with older and tough meats, particularly with the jerk chicken and curry goat, leading to negative feedback despite the restaurant's generally positive reputation.

Eating at Yardie’s was a pleasure to my pallet. I had the curry chicken and it was succulent and flavorful. The rice was fresh and tasted fresh as well. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu. I recommend you try the curry chicken with bone in super good. The only thing I can say about this restaurant is they need more seating But it looks to me that most people just pick up their meal.

I recently visited Yardies for lunch and had a pleasant experience overall. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which set a positive tone for the meal.
I ordered a jerk chicken sandwich and a spicy beef patty. The beef patty was absolutely perfect – flavorful and just the right amount of spice. The jerk chicken sandwich was served on coco bread. While the combination of jerk chicken and coleslaw was delicious, I noticed that the bread became hard once it cooled down a bit, which made it less enjoyable.
My friend ordered the fried chicken with rice and peas and requested dark meat, but unfortunately, he was served white meat instead. This was a bit disappointing, especially since he had specified his preference.
Overall, the food tasted good, but there are a few areas for improvement. With a bit more attention to detail, Yardies could provide an even better takeout experience.

Writting this review as I’m eating cause this food is too good. Ordered a small stew chicken and was not disappointed. This is my first time trying yardies as well and I will definitely be coming back. Great portions for the price of the small, the chicken literally falls right off the bone, the meat to rice ratio is perfect and they are heavy handed with their gravy which I’m a big fan of. Will definitely be coming back in the near future

Best Jerk pork I ever had in Toronto! Great portion sizes, tasty and flavorful. Had their gungo peas soup too... THAT was a pleasant surprise. It was an enriching soup and the large was definitely worth it. They made me a fan of that soup, although I hardly eat it otherwise.
Anyways, back to the jerk pork and its combo---- yum ! I didn't even get a chance to take a photo of that.. lol we ate too fast!

Bought jerk chicken and pork today and it was BAD. Pork is definitely old and TOUGH, not edible at all! Chicken was semi tough. If we didn’t live so far, we would’ve brought it back for a change. We had no choice but to eat most of the chicken and toss out the pork. What a waste of money!

Hands down, the BEST Jamaican cuisine I’ve ever had from a restaurant in the GTA, in my 30+ years of living. I barely have any pictures of the food because it had to be devoured IMMEDIATELY! First time I ordered from this restaurant, I got the jerk chicken dinner, and fried festival. It came with plantain, and the portion was HUGE. I scarfed it down and figured maybe it only tasted that good because I was so hungry. I decided to try them again, and ordered the fried chicken dinner, fried dumpling, and boneless chicken roti. The fried chicken and rice and peas were IMMACULATE, and the roti tasted great but it was just the chicken and it was fairly dry. I decided to try again, ordered the same thing, and this time I had the option to add oxtail gravy to the roti, so I did that. Ordered the same thing again (added jerk wings to my order, also AMAZING), and requested they add potatoes to the roti this time. They were able to give me potatoes on the side. I ordered again because at this point, I’m addicted to their food..they made the roti with the potato inside, and the world suddenly became a better place! The food here NEVER disappoints! I feel like I have my very own guardian chef angel in that kitchen! Yardies is officially my new favourite restaurant

I had their food for the first time about a month ago from a friend at work who bought it for me to have on my dinner break. I had the jerk chicken, rice and peas with oxtail gravy. I was impressed, the food was actually good. I then tried their bbq fried chicken which was decent. Stop by with the wife on the weekend prior to check it out for ourselves in person. Very small, clean establishment. More set up as take out rather than dine in as there was only one table and a few chairs there. Happy to see that this place is doing well as a lot of Jamaican, Caribbean Restaurants the food is really not up to par.
