Very good. While i was disappointed when I came in because they didn't have any Pholourie. The chicken roti and doubles were amazing. The doubles were probably the best I've ever had. The curry was nice and thick and flavor packed. 100% recommend and definitely will be returning

Lena's Roti & Doubles offers great tasting Trinidadian cuisine, including Doubles, Roti, Bakes, stews, and lots more! They have five locations in the GTA. I visited the one in Ajax recently.
Their menu has lots to offer and it took us a while to decide but we ended up ordering Doubles, Goat Pie, Bake and Salt Fish, Bake and Smoke Herring, and Curry Duck with Rice. It was all delicious but my favourite was the Curry Duck. It had lots of great flavour.
As full as we were, we had to try their house-made ice cream: Mango, Soursop, and Pina Colada. They were all good!
Everything was delicious! Give them a try!

These aren't the prettiest photos but I had to include something.
My other half knows how much of a foodie I am; so when his work crew ordered lunch, he took advantage of the daily special and bought me some doubles.
The bag was a little greasy but I didn't let that stop me from digging in . The doubles were superb . Considering they sat in his lunch bag all night they weren't soggy or anything . Flavor wise I personally found them on the sweeter side.
I thought they were sizeable and a good value for the price. I really enjoyed them and I'll definitely be back to try them fresh!
Update:
I was able to visit in person today and wow was I ever impressed.
I had the regular doubles and goat doubles, the curry duck, bake & Saltfish and pholourie.
The pholourie was magical. So fluffy and both the hot sauce and tamarind sauce paired perfectly. Both the doubles were filled with stuffing and had that sweetness I so enjoyed last time. The bake & Saltfish was light and airy. The curry duck was so flavorful and a definite highlight. I enjoyed each dish immensely and can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

Usually great doubles here but for some reason they’ve been overly sweet lately slight pepper added but didn’t taste the pepper so not sure if the cooks change over the past few months still good doubles just add more pepper 4/5 ⭐️

I ordered two doubles and I was served in less than two minutes. Two minutes is also an exaggeration. I kinda suspected it to be pre made and I wasn’t wrong. I drove with the packed doubles for only 15 min and when I opened it they were stuck to the wrapping paper like it was sitting for long and the bread was soggy and turned white at the bottom. Disappointed for sure! I didn’t mind waiting! But please don’t serve leftovers from a day before. It is unfair for the consumer. I have had doubles from other places and drove the same distance but never had this situation before

My cousin was feeling for some Trini curry so I suggested Lena's or Drupatie's. We decided to try both. So off we went to Ajax 2 Saturdays ago. First stop was Lena,'s. It wasn't too busy thankfully. Ordered dhalpuri chicken rotis bone in. I must say it was delicious and roti skin was soft and fluffy.
This is when things started changing. We ordered paratha which every trini know is 'buss up shutt" We had to clarify that there was no difference between paratha and "buss up shut" long story short we asked for buss up shut to go. when we got home and opened package it was paratha aka whole buss up shut. If you buss it up we won't have that problem would we Lena? so okay,it is what it is. Lo and behold the roti not flaky,no layers. Honestly it was a cross between a sadha roti and a dosti I dont know why the changes to our Trini tradition. Jamaicans don't change the standard of their jerk or coco bread or fried dumplings.
We also got doubles and pholourie. Hmm, the channa was not ' doubles channa' at all. They kept rolling off the doubles which were thin and transparent and didn't have the right flavour no chadon beni. The pholourie was not Trini at all. Something was missing in everything. We also ordered veggie platter with fried ochro etc , my cousin said it tasted ok. We spent $77 and not happy. My first and most likely my last visit there.

It was my first time trying Chicken doubles. I ordered the doubles it came with a very generous portion of chicken. The Saheena with Channa/Chicken peas was great aswell. The double was very messy It fell apart. I had a good experience trying out a different double store. I have to say the menu is great plenty of options.

Probably the worst roti I've ever had. The words 'goopy' and 'mushy' come to mind. The grease was insane. Tried to pick it up and it instantly dissolved in my hand to the bottom of the bag. Doubles were exactly the same. Just gross. Threw it out, definitely won't be back.
